Product introduction: The Lancia Stratos was developed as the world's first purpose-built machine, and was born as an innovative mid-ship machine with FRP cowls at the front and rear.
In the 1970s, power competition in rallies intensified over the years, and in order to win, a lightweight and compact machine with high maneuverability was required.
Lancia abandoned the idea of creating rally machines based on conventional commercial cars, and the Stratos was developed solely for the purpose of winning the world's first WRC title.
